Freshly Ground Coffee at the Touch of a Button
The Delonghi Magnifica Start ECAM220.22.GB is designed for coffee lovers who want the flavour and aroma of freshly ground beans without the preparation involved in a manual espresso machine.
Its integrated coffee grinder prepares beans for each drink, helping you enjoy freshly brewed coffee whenever you want it.
Simply select your preferred coffee recipe using the soft-touch controls, and the machine handles the grinding and brewing process.
This fully automatic bean-to-cup design makes it easy to enjoy an espresso before work, a longer coffee in the afternoon or a freshly prepared drink after dinner.
15-Bar Pump Pressure for Espresso Extraction
The Magnifica Start features a 15-bar pump as part of its espresso brewing system.
Working alongside the integrated grinder, the pump supports the extraction of rich, aromatic espresso with a characteristic crema.
Whether you enjoy a short, concentrated espresso or prefer a longer black coffee, the ECAM220.22.GB offers convenient automatic preparation without the need to grind, dose or tamp coffee manually.
Four Convenient One-Touch Selections
The Delonghi Magnifica Start offers four one-touch selections through its intuitive soft-touch control panel.
- Espresso: Prepare a rich, concentrated coffee with the distinctive character of traditional espresso.
- Coffee: Enjoy a longer everyday coffee made from freshly ground beans.
- Americano: Choose a longer black coffee for a smooth, satisfying drink.
- Steam: Activate the steam function for manually frothing milk.
These accessible selections make it easy to prepare different drinks without navigating complicated menus.
While Espresso, Coffee and Americano are automatic coffee recipes, the Steam selection activates the traditional milk frother for hands-on milk preparation.
Traditional Manual Milk Frother
For cappuccino and latte lovers, the traditional manual milk frother allows you to steam and texture milk according to your preferences.
Use it to create creamy foam for cappuccinos or smoother milk textures for lattes and flat whites.
Unlike the automatic coffee preparation functions, milk frothing requires manual control, giving you the flexibility to adjust the texture of your finished drink.
The frother also provides hot water for suitable drinks, including tea and other hot beverages.
Personalise Your Coffee to Your Taste
Everyone enjoys coffee differently, which is why the Delonghi Magnifica Start includes useful personalisation options.
Adjust the aroma strength, coffee temperature and drink length to create a cup that better suits your preferences.
Whether you prefer a stronger morning espresso or a longer, milder coffee later in the day, these settings help you tailor your drinks without adding unnecessary complexity.
Combined with the integrated grinder, they provide a convenient way to enjoy freshly prepared coffee in the style you prefer.
Twin Cup Function for Two Espressos
The twin cup function allows you to prepare two espressos simultaneously, making the Magnifica Start particularly convenient when sharing coffee.
Instead of preparing two separate espresso servings, you can use the twin cup function to make both together.
It's a useful feature for couples, busy mornings and households where more than one person enjoys espresso.
250g Coffee Bean Hopper
The ECAM220.22.GB features a 250g bean hopper, providing convenient storage for whole coffee beans within the machine.
With the grinder integrated into the Magnifica Start, there's no need to keep a separate coffee grinder on your kitchen worktop.
Simply fill the hopper with suitable beans and enjoy freshly ground coffee as part of the automatic preparation process.
1.8L Removable Water Tank
The Delonghi Magnifica Start includes a generous 1.8-litre removable water tank, making it a practical choice for regular home coffee preparation.
The removable design provides convenient access when refilling the machine or carrying out routine maintenance.
Combined with the 250g bean hopper, the water tank supports everyday coffee preparation without requiring a refill after every drink.
Easy Cleaning & Everyday Maintenance
The Magnifica Start is designed to make regular care straightforward, with removable components that provide easier access for cleaning.
Selected components are described as dishwasher-safe, offering added convenience when maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions.
